Sunrise over Rangitoto
Rangitoto is Auckland’s largest and most recent volcano. It erupted about 600 years ago as formed an island in Auckland’s Hauraki Gulf. Rangitoto is Maori for Bloody Skies.
In the foreground is Takapuna Beach.
Mountain Running
I love running as much as I love cycling. In fact if I added up the number of kms I have run over the last 5 years and compared them to the number of kms I have cycled, the running would far outweigh the cycling.
This is One Tree Hill which makes up part of my training run route. I usually run between 2-4 loops of Cornwall Park, each loop involving an ascent to the summit. I do enjoy the descent more than the ascent.
I didn’t plan to take a photo of this runner, he just made his way into the shot unexpectedly. Reviewing the images later, I found that I preferred the photo with him in it than the one without.

No composition involved with these two photos. I just clicked away while riding to the Frocks on Bikes Fashion Show and got some interesting results including these two images.
